This classic oil painting was inspired with the heroic fight of the Dutch pilot Koos Roos who have downed two German Messerschmitt Bf110 twin engine fighters during the German invasion on Netherlands. Fokker E.VIII was parasol fighter design used in Germany in WW1. But many of them seen post war service. Images here present some in post war Dutch markings.
