YAHU offers to modelers ready-to-use photo etched instruments panels: there are prepainted in authentic colors and glasses are glossy from origin: you just have to eventually sand the original instrument panel of the kit (if that instrument panel is in relief) and then to put the YAHU one in place: amazing result guaranteed!

The photos show you some of the instrument panels available from YAHU. There are panels at 1/72, 1/48 and 1/32 scale. Other goodies are also available for a fistful of kits: seatbelts and seat.

Demonstration of use with the Tamiya Spitfire Vb at 1/48th scale:

  • The instruments of the panel of the kit, that are in relief, are sanded.
  • I placed the YAHU panel on the unpainted part, just to see the possible result and… Stunning!
  • Part of the kit is painted and YAHU instrument panel glued with cyano
  • Part is integrated in the kit’s cockpit

Nothing to say other than: a jewel…

I will use YAHU for all the kits I own for which instrument panels are available:

Bloch 152 (RS Models 1/72): the instrument panel of the kit is represented with instruments in relief. These have to be sanded and replaced by YAHU. Fitting is excellent.

Caudron 714 (RS Models 1/72): Same as for the Bloch 152. Yahu part is placed with no problem and replace advantageously the original part.

Corsair (Revell 1/72): Well, in fact I own the F4U-5D Corsair and the panel is conceived for the F4U-1D… My mistake. But I will try to use it anyway!

Dewoitine 520 (Hasegawa 1/72): Hasegawa represented the instrument panel with a decal to be placed on a support. No need to say that YAHU instrument panel is a must in this case.

Focke-Wulf 190 F8 (Revell 1/72): like for RS kits, the instrument panel is in relief. As you can see, YAHU nevertheless brings lot of realism!

Each time that I will build a kit from now, I will check to see if YAHU realized an instrument panel for it. It’s the kind of detail that ameliorates strongly your kits, and at a very cheap price! Click here to find your sample!
