Su-27 powered by Eduard
« on: September 29, 2010, 09:43:04 AM »
This is my very new start, building of my favorite modern jet fighter, Soviet Su-27. I hear about it long time ago, in one local military magazine and they bring article about met of this fighter and NATO patrol plane, where the Su-27 have hit its propeller, slice it and propeller penetrate into the plane fuselage while the Soviet fighter flew away. Finally to get chance to build this kit. Kit is ICM 1/72 scale but most important is that it will be full equipped with Eduard etched parts.

Images bellow show some interesting interior details of this fighter...

Kit build is going smooth but this kit have problem with panels, not good as it have to be and also it is good kit for those who like to model kit shape from model filler. All of this is not problem for me but for somebody could be.

Nice PE set, this sure is going to improve the looks of the model...
You might put some of the pics of shaping the model with a putty...

Thank you friends  :-razz I enjoy this project and this will be soon over. Here you are some work steps. ICM kit is maybe top kit but it have many panels issues so it need to spent few days to draw and scribe new panels on it. In general it is easy to work with this kit but assembly instruction is ugliest I have ever seen, good thing is that I have seen the same assembly section in the Eduard instructions for the etched parts and I can manage work with parts. By the way- last image in this set show simply way to sand hard to approach corners, bent piece of the sand paper, 320 grit in this case, take it in reverse action tweezer and run!!!
