That is how it would have looked, except the KC-135 was grey, and the Buff was in camo. A few years ago I got to spend an afternoon flying the KC-135 simulator at Pease ANG Base, now that was truly awesome!

At the request of Sall :-flo here ore some of my previous builds

Heller Bf-109 1/72nd scale, built pretty much out of the box, even used the kit decals, which worked much better than they looked.

Mars Lander, this was  a very old kit, that was re-issued a number of years ago as a special edition for an IPMS national convention, I got this off E-Bay, it had a very good decal sheet with many options; I went for an old "retro" look of a 1950's space ship with the red and silver colors, and coulden't resist the sharks mouth :-ok

Here is a real odd ball kit; this Bristol M1.c was made by a company called Waldo Resin, they only produced about 1/2 different kits back in the early / mid '90's, and were based in England. The kit is 48th scale and just to be different I painted it in PC-12 as an aircraft that served in the Far East, the decals were pieced together from an Aeromaster sheet. The nice thing was that many of these aircraft serving post war often flew without their guns fitted, and since the kit gun was horrible, I simply did not have to use it :))

This is the Eduard 1/72nd scale Dr.1 built mostly out of the box, very nice kit, except very small. I had fun painting it as the yellow would have been applied over the factory applied camo and white rudder, so I used a very thin spray of yellow over the aft fuselage so that the olive green shows through and used a lighter shade of yellow over the white rudder.

This is the Bronco 1/48th scale MQ-1 Predetor. Nice little kit, the pitot was scratch built from wire and paper soaked with superglue.

Hi Sall,
Reserve Officers Traing Corp = ROTC it is a head start for for persons wanting a career in the armed forces, some high schools have it and many colleges have it here in the States, also got as flight in a KC-135, was great except it was Febuary, verrrrry cold, the APU in the back of the fuselage put out more noise than heat. Refueled a couple of B-52's from Griffis AFB, that was cool too.

Nice pictures! When I was in ROTC I got a couple of flights in a Huey, it was pretty cool, especially sitting in the gunners seats on the side, you could look down past your toes all the way to the ground, it was spring time so we flew with the doors open.

Yes, 72nd scale is nice, but 48th is even better for my eyes! Very interesting subjects as well, I hope they sell well for you!

Aircraft Modeling / Agama Paints Questions
« on: November 22, 2011, 01:05:42 AM »
I was wondering if somebody could tell me a little about Agama paints; I have never used them but they do have some colors I could use. I read the review on the set of French colors and was wondering how the acrylics airbrush, do you need to use their thinner or would Vallejo thinner work? Also, I assume their enamels behave like other enamel model paints, though they dry flat or glossy like xtracolor do?? Thank you,

Hi No.1,
I probably could do that, but this set pretty much included a complete interior for that kit, and would be the easiest way to go. Sometimes I am lazy!
