The Eduard's jewel on the PE sheet: the interior of the turret!!!

Then the forward machinegun

But back on the turret interior. The work was not simple. All the plastic but one part was removed and replaced by PE

First steps. Removing of plastic, to be replaced by PE

Episcopes. More realistic than the plastic, but not easy to form...

PE again, and tyres. You will note my "home-made" tool for the manipulation of the little PE parts: toothpick + Blu Tack

Sanding of the excess of glue

Again PE

Last year I've begun that kit for a French group build, but I did not finished it in the delays. I will restart the build soon (as soon as the KV-1 will be finished in fact).

Here are the work already made, step-by-step...

The kit:

I will add Eduard's photoetch

The kit contents

The photoetch. Three, not two...

The decal sheet. I will of course opt for the Belgian...

First elements removed from the sprue, and the third PE from Eduard

...And here is the result. I have begun to place the elements of the interior. After a "dry" fitting, I have corrected the seatbelts position, because they were a problem for the cables. Hope that all will be OK now...

For the Ground Forces, we will see how to organize GB's.

Actually I have two ideas:
- Wheeled AFV's
- Star Wars

For the Japan GB, good idea Srecko to permit all what is Japanese, including cars, ships, etc.

If you remember the begin of my painting phase, I used some Tamiya pigments.

But, due to the use of varnish, those pigments simply disappeared... OK, I'm always learning, now I know that it's a phase to do later...

...Like just now, just before weathering...

Finally, some cables. I used 0.05mm stainless steel, bought on a store in USA.

First, with a compass, I measured the lenght of each one needed and placed all to see if it's OK. Than, there were painted in Chaos Black (Citadel Colors).
I will glue it with PVC glue, or Gator glue.

After an half hour, I used Tamiya white ("snow") pastel...

I'm particularily happy with the result I've obtained!!!

Today I've airbrushed Pébéo matt varnish, and glued the seat and some other elements of the cockpit; some decals were also placed...

I will try to participate for the Japanese Group Build, but only if I can find a 1/144th kit... Bigger kit would ask for more time to be build, and that is my actual problem: time...

For the Ground Forces, the first GB can be a "wheeled" vehicles, any period...

Your plans sound interesting and right now I am capable to join this proposed builds:

Skyhawk
Me 262
Fokker D.VII
Dewoitine 501
Albatros family

For Ground Forces will be everything possible with more active members and this is other story...

Don't forget your CR42...
The Skyhawk of Retrowings can be build in a group build of course, and be the subject of an article for the site. But in such a case, that group build must take place as soon as possible (june?). Not a problem for me in the present case because a 1/144th should be a quick build.

I like also your proposal for a Japanese group build, but for may I will not have time to participate (and don't own Japanese aircraft on my stash)
