No, actually it was the painter's fingerprint that caused me problems! On the last two F-106s that I painted I was holding the airplane in my hand while painting the topside and slipped a fingerprint onto the underside. This way will work better and it gave me a chance to see if my old ADC grey was still sprayable.

A quick end to this long-delayed thread. During my time at home I completed this F-106A for my buddy. On this one he wanted the 20mm gun installed in the weapons bay so I scratchbuilt the fairing from parts of an ancient Ju-88 vacuform kit I have. It's now on his display shelf along with the others I've constructed for him.

By the time he's done with me I will have built most of the planes in his Squadron! (To be truthful, I'm thinking about building one of these for my own shelf......)
