I have to restrict the view to just that little area......I would hate to show the balance of the table to the world! :-roll

After getting the gardening and lawn mowing done I finally found time to finish the camouflage on both my 110 projects. I reckon this could be titled "Vater und Sohn"?

Here is a "sneak peek" of the 1/72 version from my end. There's still a bit of work to do yet but it is near the finish line.

An amazing thing that speaks to the quality of these very old kits--I used the 1967 kit decals on this and they worked perfectly. All I had to do was spray a coat of clear gloss over them before use. They worked like they were printed a year ago!

Here are a few pictures of my old Monogram kit. The contrast between this box-stock kit and the enhanced version being completed by No.1 will be a good example of what can be done with this very old kit. Mine has no enhancements at all with the exception of adding the antenna wire and a few little details in the cockpit. Even with my lack of effort on this it makes into a nice representation of the 110. Again, I have to stress that these are the original 1967 decals with only a little clear sprayed on them before use.

Thank you, Sall. This kit fits well and is a very easy build. For anyone looking to add a 1/72 early 110 to their collection I really recommend it. They're quite easy to find here in the States still, and not expensive at all. One item I don't care for is that the bomb racks are molded into the lower wing. To build a proper C or D you will have some surgery to do removing the racks. That isn't a big problem, though, and the rest of it makes up for that one little issue.

Yep, it is a relaxing (most of the time) thing!

While I'm here, I just finished the last touches on the Fujimi 1/48 kit today. Here are a few photos of the finished Bf-110D-0 in the early-war markings of ZG 76.

I've always been very interested in the Dackelbauch fuel tank version and Fujimi included one in the kit. When I was a younger fellow I used to see these kits in the stores but never purchased one. It has some things to correct and a pretty bare interior, but was a fun build just like the old Monogram kit. Again, as with the other kit, I was able to use the kit decals on this model. Aftermarket decals would probably have been a better choice, but these turned out for this project. I've another of these kits that I intend to detail much more, but that project will be in the future.
