Hawker Typhoon
« on: February 26, 2013, 02:52:29 PM »
Dear friends,

some time ago you have spotted this kit as new arrival and it moment to start build it. This kit is new release from Brengun and it is in 1/72 scale. It give overal look as short run kit but it actually have excellent part quality. First set of images show what you could have in package and there is additional etched set released by same manufacturer.

First step was apply of thin coat of surfacer and after that spray of interior green.

With some extra effort I manage to close fuselage and start work on wings. Elements inside are too tight and need some pressure during curing.

Hi mate, :-salut

Here is a nice kit. Well detailed it seems to be delightful. But, what is the reason for having an extra fin ?
I bought recently Academy's Typhoon, but... it's a not very good kit with an inaccurate outline of the nose impossible to improve ! The motor axle is too low.

Extra tail is intended to replace tail from fuselage and it have different chord thickness for horizontal tail. The kit look pretty accurate but need some extra grind work to fit the parts.

Due to the high pressure on work, I have much slow down work on kits and worst at all I don't get chance to take image of progress. Here you are Typhoon and to regret I forget to alter flaps for the upgrade with flaps from etched set.
