Time to show the progress on this Avia S-199 variant in the original Czech colors:

It's straightforward building as per the other Hobbycraft Bf 109s we've seen here, so a photo of the current state:

Too late on a few areas for camo, but not so far that I can't correct it later if need be!

Here are a few photos of the finished Avia S-199 in my favorite scheme! In the first photo I realized that I was building two Avia projects at the same time without even planning it.......

Then a few of the completed model:

This was built pretty much straight from the box with the exception of the sliding canopy. I used a Squadron vacuform canopy as the kit part won't sit on the fuselage properly when opened. The decals are all directly from the Hobbycraft sheet with just a couple from the spares box. Not much of any weathering or stains on this one--the photos used as reference showed a very clean, well maintained airplane, a credit to the ground crews!

It seems I must keep at least one Bf 109 on the bench....... This is another of my favorite Airfix Emils and will be in a very plain paint scheme when finished.
