Eduard templates

Templates are very important tools in modeling and they allow us to correct, update and enhance surface details of the kit and bring them into a more authentic look. The primary use is engraving various panels and access doors on the plastic kit. In the past it was hard to find such tools but today many manufacturers make them. Last to join the list is Eduard.

Eduard delivers several sets of templates and they are Circle & oval, Oblongs & square, Oblongs, Access, Oval & oblongs and Ovals. No matter the names are repeated, they are different sets. All of them are made of etched steel, thin and easy to set on the surface. Their main feature is that they are made in a very compact size; they are smaller than other products. This is very good as well most are given as long bend and the larger size sheets cause trouble to access some areas during the work. With their small size, Eduard templates are easier to work with.  When you unpack them, you will find on steel sheet two or more templates. What you need to do is to remove them, the same way as you would with etched parts.

They cover all possible shapes and I am sure you will find them easy to use. The size mostly covers all shapes in 1/72 and 1/48 scale but I guess they will find some use in other scales too. A good feature is that some of them have line marks and this will make them easy to align them and position in correct place.
