Hello,

Thank you for sharing these pictures.
What means "neizyak" ?
Marchi (had Yak-3 "white 4") was the air-acrobat of Régiment Normandie-Niémen. Yak 9 "white 14" of N-N was named "Père Magloire" from a famous Calvados and was the mount of Marcel Lefèvre.
The two-seater in really interesting.

All right, here you are Yak-9D from 3rd escadrille of 6th GVIAP, Black Sea Fleet, flown by Hero of Soviet Union, Grib Mihail Ivanovic. Details of airplane is interesting- border on start as well 22 are not same shade as white on the guardian shields so my guess is that this could be yellow color. Also vertical rudder look like taken from another plane. Under the cockpit paint is worn out and cockpit frame show bare metal.

Are they correct? Or... em I correct?
Title: Re: Yak-9

I think you're correct.
Look at the Airfix's art. To my mind it's an inaccurate camouflage color scheme... :

That was common in that time, all Soviet planes were presented as Green and Brown, it was not known they have over 20 camouflage combinations with many different camouflage paints. On my side I start work on U model.
