Title: USN Buffalo ace

Greetings all,

I just started painting this seascape as base for one painting of single USN ace on Buffalo, Capt. Humberd. It will show it while downing Zero in flames and painting name will be 'Kud si poso s krmeljivi oci' (impossible to translate precisely from Serbian red nex slang :)) )

Interesting that Capt. Humberd complained in his battle report that Zero was superior to Buffalo on all points! Still Zero came out second-best after the confrontation with this brave U.S. pilot! In his report he also noted the vulnerability of the Zero to gunfire and that a single well-aimed salvo from his machine guns was sufficient to destroy the lightly-constructed Japanse plane.
