Hi No.1!!!
Shape looks good, this is a pic of a Chauviere propeller used in the SPAD XIII:
It might help you with the wood grain effect and colour shading.
Have you got the scheme you want for it?
I'll see if I can get you some interesting pics for it.
Cheers!
Javier

Hi Nro.1,
keeping on with the SPAD theme, I recalled seeing in a website from Uruguay a profile from the ones used there. So, here it is:

Lovely, isn't it?
I'll see if I manage to find pictures of the SPAD VII and XIII used here in Argentina.
Cheers!

Hi Matt,
great pic, it's a SPAD VII right? It's always weird to look at the SPAD and Nieuports in RAF liveries.
-
Nice images and interesting to see yellow wood propeller :)
-
Hi....this picture is from my 139th Aero project folder. One of Robert Linsday's machines. Is that a Spad 13 or 7? ;)

Good eye Javier it is VII!
This particular example was built in the UK in 1917, its history is unknown though.
-
Hi lads!
From what I recall, the VII only has 4 cabane struts linking the upper wing and fuselage. The XIII has 6, the first 2 bent backwards. So Lindsay's should be a VII. There was a SAMI Magazine where they gave the serial numbers for all of the british produced VIIs.
What a lovely series of aircrafts!!!
Cheers!
