Hello
I spend a lot of time studying the He 162 , this will be , probably, a new book project in the near future.
For the rivets .
It depends of the manufacturer , what is visible is the putty lines throught the thin layer of paint . The team which restored the He 162 in Paris confirmed it to me putty on Rostock built He 162 (batch 120...) was found everywhere on the fuselage to seal all what can be sealed .
On the other hand the rivets are visible on the engine cowling , I agree with you . I saw them .
On the tail plane (another sub-assembly ) , the rivets are sealed with a sort of tape , I can see it clearly .
In any way the drawing you made is nice .
On He 162 , the stencils are funny , some are hand painted some painted with a template .
Please find 2 new pictures I own .
