It's Hurricane Mk.IIc, PZ865 known as 'The Last of the Many", as flown by Gp. Capt. Peter Townsend in the National Air Race 1951.
He flew it also in the N.A.R a year before, when the A/C was marked by white number '41' in black circle (instead of '99'), painted on the vertical stabiliser.

British royal family aide, Capt. Peter Townsend, wearing helmet & goggles while sitting in cockpit of Princess Margaret's plane (a Hurricane), in which he finished 2nd in King's Cup air race.
