Kabina IK-2 / IK-2 cockpit

Ovo je moj prvai rad ove vrste i otpilike je 70 % zavrsen.

This is my first work of this type and it is finished some 70 % .

hello,are there any photos of the ik-2 cockpit available?I am building one now for a SAM magazine so I would like to build it as authentic as possible.

There was some material available (drawings and images). This is my old work and in the meantime I have packed all Yugoslav subject into boxes and forget it for a long time. I am glad that you have managed magazine article- congratulation mate :-clap

Thanks no.1 . I have added some detail in the cockpit using your work.It helped me a lot.Now I only have to mix the strange rogozarski interior color.I was searching for some info about the seat color and look,but with no positive results.I am thinking of painting this one as the cockpit itself.

Don't worry much about the interior paint as well in that moment Yugoslav industry has delivered just few coats for aviation. Two of them was Cellon type protection for fabric, red and transparent, and three coats was paints. There was silver, grey and green. More attention on interior and camouflage in more colors come later, when we received stock of paints from import.

I did not knew that.I was wondering about that grey green blue interior mix.As I understand the same color was used for the undersides of the camoflague.

for now I have added some details in the cockpit.It is the azur frrom kit that I find very nice for building.I painted the instrument panel and now I must mix the interior color and on to the final assembly :) unfortunatly I am not allowed to post any photos until the kit goes in the magazine.

I know,I know :) I will post images of the build after it goes into the magazine.I don't know what shape issues this kit has cos this is not my thing(i am only a jet guy) but I will build it OOB + some added details :)
