Australia was one of only two nations to licence build the Canberra (the other was the USA). Production started in 1951 at the Government Aircraft Factory, Fisherman's Bend, near Melbourne. The first Australian built Canberra, A84-201, flew from Avalon on 29 May 1953. Twenty-nine years later after a long and distinguished career which included operational bombing sorties in Vietnam, the RAAF withdrew its Canberras from active service.

Hi mate,  :-salut :-salut

Beautiful job.

In the early 1950s, France was searching for a bomber and acquired six Canberras of B1/B6 types, three of them were acquired directly from the manufacturer, the other three from the RAF :
From the RAF : WJ763, F-ZLAM, re-serialled F763; WJ779, F-ZLAN, re-serialled F779 and WJ784, F-ZLAK, re-serialled F784 with immat. F-ZJPK.
From EE : F304, F-ZLAL; F316, F-ZLAT and F318, F-ZLAU.
They were not used by the Armée de l'air, but only by the CEV (Centre d'essais en vol or Flying Test Center) depending on the DGA (Direction générale de l'armement or General Directorate for Armament) a State organism. Finally, that was the "Vautour" which became the standard bomber in the AA.
Those six Canberras were in active service from 1954 to 1980.

They have these pictures in their collection, but I'm sure, apart from one that I know for a long time, they are not the authors of the photos...
