Hello No. 1, :-salut :-salut
Very well done profile (as usual). :-ok
Generally, DFS 230s had no svastika on the fin.
Does anyone know why ?
Jicehem :-wave :-wave

This is good point- I have not seen any operational sample with swastika on vertical, just test machines.
-
... just test machines.
Not sure... The Mistel with the Bf 109 E seems to have been retouched. The svastika is too sharp with regard of the picture.
-
It is very interesting there also was an experimental low-wing version of this transport glider.
We have images in our Letletlet photo files! Also here: no swastika on vertical tail........
-
Here is that strange low wing version of the DFS 230!
At the MuseƩ de l'Air at Le Bourget they are progressed quite far with the restoration of this rare type.
It must be the only one left in the world!

Nice images Nico :-ok

This was the progress on the DFS230 when photographed in 2005.
I have not seen it during my last visit in 2009.
