One of my favorite "unsung" WWII types, too!

I work a bit on various details (hidden in this moment) and also glass. Most of time spent in analyze of archive images for capturing every details.

Work progress slow as well I check out all details on airplane. For now, I know that almost all panels are overlapping and many others details will be included. Preview of extract of archive images is included and level of details simply indicate that I will need long time to develop this illustration.

I've got one of the Koster vacuform conversion kits for the Privateer in 1/48 scale so this thread is of great interest to me!!!! I have a scheme for mine all picked out (dark blue, medium blue, white scheme) and maybe I'll find the kit since you've revived my interest in the PB4Y-2!

Most of known panels are done but this is not end, I guess there will be variations in details. Next will be rivets.

Maybe I should! I have the Monogram kit and Koster kit, selected the paint scheme already.......only two things are missing right now--time and a place to put the finished model. It is a big machine in 1/48!

Yes, I bought this one many, many years ago and filed it away. In fact, I'm almost certain I bought this from Bill Koster in person at an IPMS National Competition.
