Oh, hell...

It ain't gonna be easy on my Junkers-Corrugated Syndrome to turn down such a lovely offer... I'd love to have it but I guess it's too difficult to buy it from Argentina. Any suggestions on how to make the money and P&P available to you? Unless No.1 sticks to his bid, in wich case ´ll step down from mine :-salut.

Cheers,

Javier

Javier,

Unfortunately I have problems with E-mail (I can receive mails, but not send). Option from my way is to send it by TNT courier (=normal post) as priority mail. I see no problems at customs since it it a package without much value.

Hi Nico,

I hope you get that e-mail issue solved soon. The issue I have is that TNT is a private venture over here, and as such are heavily taxed when receiving a parcel. I'd tell you that taxes could easily reach 50 Euros or such (I worked for TNT last year). Is in anyway possible to send it as a regular shipment, for thru our national mail service, usually books are cleared without paying any taxes. If not, let's go ahead with the TNT option.

Let me know what do you think about that and the payment method I sugested.

Cheers!

TNT handles regular mail in our country and, as a former state organisation, also regular mail to other countries. If sent, book would be normal airmail ('printed matter') without any special value. Book is softcover measuring 24 x 17 x 1.2 cm and that means it will easily fit in a standard air-bubble envelope.
Normally it should arrive in your mailbox without any additional charges!
For me direct cash payment in a sealed envelope is the easyest (no further transfer costs etc.).
It worked perfectly at sale out of old AIR ENTHUSIAST issues!

That's great then, let's do like that. On the other hand if it's ok with you, I'd rather go with Western Union for the payment, as Argentina's Mail is notorious for its taste for bill-filled letters :( and I'm ok with paying an extra bit to make things work. I'll send you an e-mail tomorrow with the details concerning the transfer, delivery address, etc.

Thanks!

Nearest Western Union office to collect your money is in Amsterdam and that is for me not very practical!

Oh, Ok! Then I'll do as you said. Next week I'll send you the money and an e-mail with the tracking number for the envelope.

Thanks Nico, have a nice weekend.

Javier,

Received your payment today. Book will be posted tomorrow.
Sorry, I have no E-mail at the moment (I seem to be an 'unknown user' at my provider for some obscure reason).
Lost Internet also a couple of days, but that is now restored I hope.

N.
