Excellent idea Santino but you give the links in the Off Road section of the forum. Reason will be explained later... just do it

OK!

It goes like this, I'm planing to ask Felix for his drawing and then in face of it decide the right size for the profile
As I  work  with a 23 inch monitor it would be nice to work with higher resolution, but,  I will have to  find a compromise solution between the size of the image and the  hardware I have

To get started I will send a PM to  Felix to kindly ask for his nice pdf file containing the drawings
Otherwise I will go blah blah blah blah and painting which is the funny part will be a big fat zero

So if you gentleman's excuse me I have things to take care

Ok Guys,

The PDF is put together and has been sent out to several of our artists.  If anyone else would like to participate, email me and I will send you the file.  The fact that it's a PDF makes it compact and easy to email and the newer PDF formats allow you to preserve layers that you've created in your drawing program (Corel Draw in this case).  The 4 layers consist of the Outline ( having this as  a seperate layer allows you to lower transparency or change the color to a lighter gray to avoid black outlines on your painting), the Panel Lines, the Stencils and, in this case, the F-86F Mods (which will allow you to do a Korean War plane).   If you open the PDF in Acrobat Reader 7.0 and set the Page Display resolution to 300 dpi, then set the zoom to 250% or so and select the whole Sabre, the Snapshot tool will save it to the Windows Clipboard and you can paste it into Photoshop or the program of your choice.  You can preserve the layers by copying the relevant layers separately and pasting them into separate layers in the art program.

In order to convert the Sabre from a Canadair Mark 4 to a North American F-86F, make the F-86F Mods layer visible and you'll notice several stencils and a lower fuselage scoop.  The 2 stencils on the left replace the stencil under the windscreen on the Canadair.  The stencils on the right replace the Canadair stencils on the fuselage refueling recepticle.  The Canadair differs in the type of fuel called for and the amount to fill, which is in imperial gallons instead of US gallons.  The scoop on the Canadair has some additional plumbing which is missing from the one I provide for the F-86F.  All of the objects should show up in the correct place if you delete the relevant Canadair objects and make the F-86F Mods layer visible. If you're really picky (like me  ), there's a little doohickey hanging under the fuselage that doesn't appear to be on the F-86F.

Now it's up to you    Good luck.

One more thing.  Under the windscreen and around the base of the vertical tail, you'll see some dotted lines.  These are contour lines that I put there to indicate complex curves in the fuselage.  The one under the windscreen isn't a major problem, but the area around the "all flying tail" has some areas that you should check out in photos or on a model before you paint.

She looks good Ronnie.  Do you have the Sabre as a 3D model?  It would make a good follow on to your Mustangs.

Skyraider- why don't you put your art in the topic? No problem about the small errors in the basic drawings

From my side I have place direct link from the index page of this site. See www.letletlet-warplanes.com at the low left corner
