The build started. For build in the brassin parts first I had to remove the original details of the cockpit molded in the fuselage. The cockpit interior :

and removed, ready for brassin :

The larger brassin parts on their place, they fitted in perfectly, no additional adjustments were needed, in modern terms it's " plug and play " ,  bravo for eduard so far !

Hi, I'm startin a new model, just to take a little " time off " from the heavy building of the Arado.....

First I would like to thank Eduard for free sample product. The kit is a Bf 110 Weekend edition upgraded wit Eduard Brassin set for the model, scale 1/72. Now, let we see what you find in the box :

The model looks good, fine engraved panel lines, nice details, on dry testing all of the bigger parts fit very well, during the build we will see the rest. The brassin parts are simply amazing, very fine details, looking absolutely fantastic, the entire brassin cocpit could be a model for it self !

WOW, looks great, a friend of mine is working at the Szolnok AF Base, he is in the museum, his work is to dig out crashed airplanes during the ww2, but his knowledge of HUF is very big, so if you need some info or something you think he can help be free to ask

All the moving/canvas surfaces are almost done, it's about 90% done, it just needs a little fine tuning.....

I joined the upper and lower halves of the wings and joined them with the fuselage,  Well, I will not say to you anything, see it for your self :

more detailing of the wheels wells :

Well to be honest the landing gear follows the quality of the model so I had to scratch it as well. The base is Evergreen styren :

The hydraulic on the landing gear have an leather protection which I also had to made. The first step was to put a few rounds of copper wire around the landing gear which will provide me the wrinkle :

Then I crease some chocolate paper to have better texture look, cut it on wanted sized and then glued over the wires. The clamps " holding " the leather on place are made from Tamiya masking tape :

Well, this took some time, first I had to find out which hose goes where and then to make the " plan and order " of building the hydraulic system in the wheel wells, had to figure out where to start.....

Well, the wheel bay is totally wrong, no details what so ever and apsolutely don't doesn't fit, so I have to scratch it.

The cockpit is finished, I didn't payed too much attention to it , very little will be visible after the two half of the fuselage is glued together.Some detailing and weathering of the visible areas of the cockpit will be done in the late stages of building....

I'm glad you like it, no I don't have decals, I will paint the markings. Moving surfaces which are made from fabric are very poor on the model, so I had no other option except to made by myself. For the first I made the rudder, it's made of styrene and a so called " Japan Paper " RC modelers used this material for wings on the gliders in the early days.

Well, here comes the cockpit. The manufacturer give it i resin and photo-etched combination but it's all wrong, and to be honest when I looked up in the documentations that I have it's not to detailed up too....So I had to scratch

It's an Arado Ar 96 B of the Hungarian AF but with mixed german-hungarian markings, Klagenfurt end of the war

From the box it's possible to make both versions, A and B. The box and the content :
