Thank you guys ! Well the cockpit is done. The grey is one of the most difficult colors to " give life " in, during the years I devoleped a painting method of my own which I think works fine, but you will be the judges am I right or wrong......First I applied a wash with burnt umber, it gives the grey a worn out-used look, broke down the monotony of it. This is how it looks :
Then to bring out the shadows with highly diluted black I made a wash again :

And for the last I made a dry brush with light grey, but much lighter than usual because the RLM 66 is too dark and thanks to the scale the cockpit is small so if I made it with a usual dry brush with not so light grey the details, which are great, would be lost, so I had to make a little compromise....
