Does anyone on the forum know if the Revell 1:48 MiG-21 PF is worth buying? Seen one going cheap.

Thanks for the sprue shot! I have the Fujimi G-10, but every panel is there and some have to be filled in. Lovely model though.

Is your book on the late 109's still available? I'm in the UK but I'd like to get a copy of it.

Didn't Revell issue it as a K-4 as well?

Thanks!

I'll look around and see what the costs are. It's something I might get as a birthday gift, and, being a modeller, it's something you end up buying yourself  :(

I have cruel memories of asking for models as a child and ending up with stuff I didn't want, although, with hindsight some of the models my parents/gran/aunt got were actually ones I'd happily build now.

So it goes!

That's quite a super little model, the nightfighter version is very unusual. Nice work :-salut

Good evening everyone!

I've never considered 1:32 modelling before, I'm a 1:72 and selected 1:48 modeller. However, if I was to build something in this scale, it would be a Bf109G/K.

Do any forum members have any suggestions about which kit is best in terms of value and accuracy? I'd probably do a late war Hungarian one or maybe Italian R.S.I.

All and any advice would be gratefully received.

David.

The pastels give a subtlety to the finish, nice work :) I have the 1:72 version, so I'm looking forward to seeing this completed.

I suppose that's the best idea. I was lucky enough to get hold of the 'Dragon' bombs and Rocket pod set in 1:72, so they'll be useful for the SMT and other things like my KP Su-7 and Su-25. I also have the Airfix MiG-29A and Heller -29UB too, and hope to obtain the Condor -29SMT sometime.

I'll hopefully join in with that! Do you happen to know what are the correct topside colours for camouflaged Russian SMT's? I use Lifecolour/Tamiya acrylics.

I haven't built them yet, currently. Once I do, I'll keep you updated. I always liked the KP MiG-21 too, it was pretty accurate, and, apart from the raised lines, a nice model. I'll use some of the spare parts from other kits to dress up my KP one, maybe a recon pod. I still have the 4+ book on the MiG-21, a really useful guide.

Hello to everyone!

I wonder if any forum members have knowledge of these kits mentioned above? I think they look ok, but did anyone deepen the panel lines when they made them, if at all?

I also have their MiG-25PD in 1:72, which does look rather nice.

Any help would be gratefully received :)
