Aircraft Modeling / Future releases from a new producer: MustHave!
« on: October 24, 2010, 05:33:37 PM »
Greetings all,

Soon there will be a new producer on the marketplace: MustHave!
The man behind MustHave! is my French friend Philippe Jourdan (formerly Hi-Tech). He decided to start with a new production name because the new techniques that will be used differs totally from Hi-Tech. MustHave! will be at a level as good as Tamigawa!

The first kits produced will be in fact reboxing of some existing kits, but with ameliorations:

-The F-86K Sabre

This is the excellent Revell kit, but with a totally new fuselage for the "K" version.

It is to be noted that Philippe wish to include a Dutch deco in the box, but is lacking of informations. If a Dutch member of the forum can help with 3-view drawings (short wings aircraft, before retrocession to FIAT), any information will be welcome and you can contact me with a PM!

-The Curtiss H75A-7 Mohawk

There will be also a Dutch decoration in the box, but also an English one:

...And other projects will follow soon after...

That gives me good argument to try that scratchbuild...

Thank you very much. The Edaurd kit is very nice and pleasant to build. But I had problems with painting, Techmod decals for a Polish aircraft... And finally I opted for the Blau Maus...

Thank you!

Srecko, the only problem with the Renard 36 is that the resin existing kits (Vami, Dujin, HR Models - anyway it's the same molds) are simply too bad to obtain a good result...
Perheaps, later, I will try a full scratchbuild - but not before some years...

Thank you, Srecko!

I'm far from the end I'm afraid... The Roden kit is nice but not perfect; it's not Wingnut Wings! I will have lot of work to do, but anyway it's a pleasant build and I want to make great job for that one...

Thank you for the photos!

Alfred Renard was an excellent aircraft builder. The REnard 35 would have been a splendid aircraft for civil transport, but during the presentation to the press, even if it was just needed to show the aircraft running on the airfield, the pilot decided to take-off and unfortunately destroyed the aircraft and killed himself...

The Renards 36-37-38 would have been great fighters. There is a new book on that subject:

I've sanded the wings, removing the little "metalic" elements that are replaced by PE.

Lower wing

Upper wing

NB: The green color is just 3D paint for tissue. That will represent the cables.

Here is where I am actually...

I'm always working with PE:

Vickers is finished. Not the best possible result, but my best possible result...

I've removed from the PE sheet all the elements of the Vickers. I've sanded the vickers but some corrections are needed so, no possibility to continue today with that weapon...

...So, back to another funny game!
Light sanding...

"I" = "Inside"

...here is the "outside"

On each time there is not ONE but TWO PE part !!!

Finished:
