I hope you like the interior color! I explicitly did not want to paint it RAF interior green but went for a striking green, which I had seen in color pictures of Lockheed machines.

The P-40 sure looks great with the tiger mouth :-)

Right now I am making a small Aldis lamp and a hand held camera. I ordered Miniworld guns for the beam guns and masking tapes from Eduard. So I guess I will have to switch my attention to the wing sections!

Aircraft Modeling / Lockheed Hudson

I have made nice progress with the Lockheed Hudson interior. This is the MPM kit, and I have done some extra work on the interior. I added details such as ammo drums, oxygenbottles, switchboxes. The Boulton Paul turret will be a little project by itself. I first made the mechanism with the ammoboxes, after that I will some stuff to the interior of the turret itself.

I will add pictures asap - I cant access my photobucket page at this moment.

I am nearly done with the interior, and will make some pictures before I close the fuselage :-)

Thanks guys!
It was not easy to build this one. The Williams Bros kit is rather crude, and I had to do a lot of tinkering to make a good presentation of the Dutch aircraft. I used B-17 cowls from Quickboost, and Aeroclub engines and props. To fit the enginecowls to the enginenacelles, I had to lengthen them and make them wider. I had to trim the tailfeathers to make them fit. The plastic is rather brittle, so making the landinggear was a nervewrecking project by itself. I used B-25 wheels, slightly trimmed to make them a bit narower. The entire interior was scratch built, although you see very little of that. Armament is also from Aeroclub parts.
For the colors I used Humbrol and Xtracolor. I prefer to work with brushes in my scaleprojects - I only build in 72nd scale.
My next project is a Lockheed Hudson, in a Dutch 320 squadron livery.
Cheers,
Edwin

Combat Warplanes / Lockheed Hudson nosecompartment

Hi all,
Does anyone have some good material showing the nose compartment? I am interested in the nose armament, and like to know if there were some bulkheads between the nosecompartment and pilot's station.

Thanks in advance!
Cheers
Edwin

Hi all,
It was a real struggle, and after many years I was able to finish a kit! It is the Netherlands Indies bomber, the Martin B-10.

I like that Devestator, for some reason it's an attractive plane. Very nice pictures!

Lovely plane, we have a Yak 3 here in the Netherlands, and I must say it's on par with the Spitfire and Mustang, always a nice display! :-)
