So where this could be? have you note Serbian officer? Maybe some school in France?

I think Fonck was a visitor to this Escadrille. But I don't remember Fonck went to Greece at a time...

Great work...
Please tell me if this is an Airfix kit Spit mk Vc or is it a conversion from Tamiya or...

It's the Airfix kit, from the box with great care to build it...
This kit, issued in 1977, stays the best base to obtain an accurate Spitfire V in shape and outline... direct from the box.
It's always possible to improve a kit...

No merit... I'm aged 64 and brush-paint my kits since the age of... 12 !

Great kit and amazing photos  :-clap
This is 1/72 or...

Hi,

The color picture presents the 1/72 scale Airfix kit improved with a sliding canopy, etc.

The first black and white photo shows a model that I almost scratch-built at the time no kit of the Fw 190 D-9 did exist. It's a 1/48 model.

The other photos show this 1/48 scale model in the foreground and a 1/72 scale kit (Airfix;  representing "weiße 9 of JG 301) in the background... Photos were made through a pinhole.

Jicehem

This black panther- I have seen it before on some French fighter unit before and during WW2. Am I wright?

Yes, you're right. This "black panther" (origin SPA 78) has been the emblem of the 3rd escadrille of GC 2/7 on  Morane Saulnier MS 406s and Dewoitine D 520s.
The RAF (French) 326 Squadron "Nice" (the name of a town of the French Riviera) was formed from GC 2/7 in North Africa and was equipped with Spitfire Vc.

What a strange wings. Jicehem  :-salut  :-clap :-clap :-clap :-clap :-wave

Hi,

Yes, the 35 degree swept-wing could be adjusted to vary in incidence to the most effective angle for take-off, landing or cruise.
But, the most novel was the inverse-taper configuration in which the thickest and widest portion of the wing was at the tip instead of next to the fuselage... This provided greater lift outboard and, with leading edge lats, reduced the tendency of the wingtips to stall at low speeds. Since the wing was too thin inboard to receive the main landing gear, these units were retracted outward to fit into the thickened tips. (From US Fighters_Aero-Publisher_1975)

Hi,

A Spitfire XVI from the French GC 2/2 Berry.
This the Otaki's Spitfire VIII modified into a Spitfire XVI with the all-around canopy and the fuselage back of the Airfix's Spitfire 24.

Unfortunately,I've only one picture of this model...
