Aircraft Modeling / 1/48 PC-9 "Kyrenia" Cyprus Air Force
« on: May 21, 2013, 04:04:04 PM »
здраво...
Back again after a long absence, dealing at the moment with an "exotic" subject this time,a T-6 Texan conversion into a PC-9 named "901 Kyrenia" the twin of "902 Amochostos" and its dedicated to the crew of the latter which was lost in vain in an air collision during a low altitude aproach on the highest point of a church roof on the 10/09/2005 near Lemessos during an excercise.

Hi there after a long period of absence. :-wave
When you have two little monsters among your feet crowling, shouting crying or loughing all the time, touching everything in an effoert to learn, and in this stage believe me they are learning by puting everything in their mouth or listening to the sound is made by dropping and breaking everything...there are not much you can do,trust me.
Finally stole some time of valuable sleep, very late at nights in order to build my latest project.
More models understructure are yet waiting the time to be completed.
This is my resin model:

Ground Forces / Bombenhagel über Dresden
« on: August 03, 2011, 10:24:49 PM »
Hi again from Greece,
After the tricycle ambulance and the empty bucket, here comes another vignette.

Towards the end of World War II,in the evening of February 13, 1945 the old Saxon city of Dresden, famous mainly for its art and Baroque architecture (and by some historians possessing no military value) had been spared the terror that descended from the skies over the rest of the country.
Many books are written about the subject, and on behalf tried to depict a scene of the historical fact.
Thanks for watching

Ground Forces / The Empty bucket...
« on: July 31, 2011, 11:05:04 AM »
Back again,
With another "retro" vignette made of simple stuff I had in my drower and were looking for a home.
The kid is a figure from Andrea's range and the puppy from Alpine British figure set.
All the rest are made from scratch using DAS model clay, country stones and branches, and lot of imagination.
The leaves are from Joefix Studios and lake water was made of Delux material's solid water.
Bluebird is a conversion from Tamiya live stock little chicken.
Hope you like it...Enjoy,and please fell free to comment.

Ground Forces / I Want To Ride My...Tricycle!
« on: July 28, 2011, 10:33:24 PM »
I would like to share with you some of my projects. The matter is for the photo below and whole costruction is made from scratch in 1/35:
http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/7706/3254245.jpg

It cought my eye,and loved it from the first sight. It is a scratchbuilt ambulance used by Home Guard in Home Front in 1939 and then, borrowing the main vehicle probably from royal mail vehicle. This kind of transport was used far since 1939(some 1910 brochoures were found in net)and used by RM,ice cream sellers,or cargo.
My first steps using as a base the wheels of tamiya german bicycle set, voyager photoetched parts, plastic rods, styrene, and a lot of patience.

Forums Works / Political names
« on: July 27, 2011, 04:39:26 PM »
Dragan mate, although you have done a wonderful work in your hind,as I have seen in other forums too,I would like to express my great disappointment regarding your title. :-roll
I suppose your intention is good, and you would like to write F.Y.R.O.M which means Former Yugoslavian Republic Of Macedonia. Can't think anything else.Think that till now our good neighboors don't realise that they are against national treatments and regulations. :-think
Their "airport" (ex skopje) Alexander the great now, is also illegaly named,as with this name exists KAVALA's airport in North Greece,as also Macedonia is called Thessaloniki's airport. And these are not my words, you can look in ICAO statues and national air manuals as MAIPs.
USA also express their dissapointment in Skopia attitude for not finding a compromising solution of their name.
It's like one day Greece manages to name one of their states Belgrade or Nis,and rename one of its airports Nikola Tesla. How would you find that? :-eek
So please without missunderstandings ask you politely to rename your title, and don't use it as it does not exist.
Just remembered that I have seen  posted a Su25 with this name too.
For God's sake!... :-/

Hi from Greece. :-wave
First of all I would like to congratulate all of you for this magnificent site. :-clap
An incomplete project I left some time ago due to lack of info, was a conversion of 1/48 Koster Aero Enterprises Fouga Magister into a Tzoukit.
A lot of work and detailing thanks to Isaac's walkaround photos and many thanks to all people that helped me by providing useful information has been done, and this site with this very nice dedication to Hatzerim museum which made my mind to grab it again. Will it be finnished?   :-roll
We'll see. :-think
At the moment cockpit and turbomeca marbore engine is finished as well as some control panels are opened and avionic details are installed.
So be patient, stay tuned and please feel free to comment or ask.
Thank you.
