Aircraft Modeling / Lockheed Hudson
« on: July 30, 2012, 11:24:47 PM »
I have made nice progress with the Lockheed Hudson interior. This is the MPM kit, and I have done some extra work on the interior. I added details such as ammo drums, oxygenbottles, switchboxes. The Boulton Paul turret will be a little project by itself. I first made the mechanism with the ammoboxes, after that I will some stuff to the interior of the turret itself.

I will add pictures asap - I cant access my photobucket page at this moment.

Combat Warplanes / Lockheed Hudson nosecompartment
« on: July 13, 2012, 02:53:46 PM »
Hi all,
Does anyone have some good material showing the nose compartment? I am interested in the nose armament, and like to know if there were some bulkheads between the nosecompartment and pilot's station.

Thanks in advance!
Cheers
Edwin

It was a very nice day, despite one very heavy shower in the morning - here is my impression, I am not a very talented photographer and my camera is not the best suited for the job - but.... here we go!

Combat Warplanes / Oostwold 2011
« on: June 13, 2011, 11:06:58 PM »
I thoroughly enjoyed myself today at the bi-annual oostwold airshow.

This time, we had the honour of seeing:

3 P-51's, spiftfire, a bearcat, a seafury and a Yak 3 fighter. other aircraft were the DC-2 and several sportsplanes, Pitts, Sukhoi, Yak-52's. The Breitling team was there too, looking pretty as always!

Here are my highlights of the day;

Combat Warplanes / That nasty Romeo Ro.1....
« on: March 10, 2011, 09:40:31 AM »
Hi there folks!
I am trying to get my hands on good quality pictures of the Romeo Ro.1. This was the Fokker C.5 variant which was built under license by AFM Romeo in Italy.
There were several 100's built, but the availability of good pictures is making me mad... there is very little available.
Who can help me, in any way? Tips, suggestions... everything is welcome!
Cheers,
Edwin

Warplane Art / Fokker C.5 drawings
« on: February 26, 2010, 10:49:12 PM »
Srecko and I have been working on a series of profiles for the Fokker C.5. That's because I have written a book about this important Dutch aircraft.

The C.5 proves to be a difficult aircraft, since there are so many variants! This became apparent once we started work.

My book will be available in august of this year and will be titled "Fokker C.5 - ontwikkeling, gebruik en ondergang" (design, operational use and destruction) and deals with the Dutch use of the aircraft. Later this year, or early 2011 I will finish a book about the international use of the Fokker C.5!

I will keep you updated when there is news!

Here are some impressions of the work we have done;

Work started with an old Fokker drawing;

On which a big amount of drawings was based;

And the first variant is finished!

Forums Works / May I introduce...
« on: November 20, 2009, 11:29:45 PM »
Myself... here on this forum I am called G-1reaper, my username is derived from the twinboom Fokker G-1 aircraft, an aircraft I admire and love deeply  :-obey I am secretary of the Fokker G-1 foundation (stichting, in Dutch) which researches this plane.

In my scarse free time I have also written a book about another Fokker, the Fokker C.5 reconnaisance plane. It is not yet completely finished, and I hope to conclude a deal with a printer soon.

I am especially interested in prewar (Dutch) aviation, also like to listen to some oddball music (METAL!  :-evil), like to relax in Italy, and visit airshows once in a while. Oh, and my real name is Edwin
