Hi Javier,  :-salut , hi all,  :-salut

Yes that has been said many times...
When painters had not the original color they had to match it by mixing basic colors. I think that was only for repaired planes because, in general, the planes were painted by the manufacturer, or during the pre-war period (i. e. 1938 to 1939) for the planes which were unpainted and already in units.
But, every thing could have been possible because the French industry seems to have been totally desorganized at the beginning of the war... But I know of no rememberence telling they received unpainted new planes...

Hi Samuraj77,  :-salut

Very nice build. I agree totally about the rendering of the panels.   :-ok Overshaded panels are not realistic.

Hi everybody,  :-salut

A little problem arose  :-/ ... The air intake is situated just 3 mm too far forward.
On a previous photograph, one can see I'm also correcting the vertical width of the air intake itself which must be 7 mm (6 mm on the kit). I corrected too the lower lips which have a wrong shape.

Cheers,

Hi mate,  :-salut

Very beautiful artwork ! Bravo.  :-clap  :-clap  :-clap  :-ok

The blue of the French cocardes is a little too violet.
Here are the official colours for the Armée de l'air, as made by the manufacturer "Pyrolac".

Hi Paul,  :-salut

I don't know the Fw 190 D-9 from Trumpeter...
I remember the Bf 109 K-4 had some inaccuracies, particularly in the engine cowlings aera.
Here is a link to the Bf 109 G-10 :

http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://kits.kitreview.com/images/bf109g1024reviewal_103.jpg&imgrefurl=http://kits.kitreview.com/bf109g1024reviewal_1.htm&usg=__Ilsk1hH2x1jGe6QgT7GW23MdwKM=&h=425&w=640&sz=47&hl=fr&start=16&tbnid=U02eRtAXinOWbM:&tbnh=91&tbnw=137&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dtrumpeter%2Bbf%2B109%2Bk-4%26hl%3Dfr

The left side of the upper engine cowling is inaccurate. Not very difficult to correct but must be corrected.

Two pictures from the link above, with corrections :

... the F-107A.

This is Trumpeter's. There are some some inaccuracies to be corrected (cockpit interoir details and air intakes), but it's a good kit.

Hi Nico,  :-salut

No, it's Matchbox's one. It should be a very good idea by Revell to re-issue it...

Hi Profa (and everybody),   :-salut

Yes, the Citroën is mine. It's the Heller kit of the Citroën 15 Six issued in 1977 in 1/8 scale.
Not very visible behind the Citroën is a Harley Davidson FLH 1200 in 1/6 scale from Tamiya (issued about 1977).

Hi,  :-salut  :-salut

The Matchbox kit of the Gloster NF 11/12/14.
I built the NF 11 version of the Armée de l'air. It's practically out of the box. Markings only are extra decals.
