Maybe to choose some base coat for surface before use final paint?
In fact I will apply gloss varnish (or matt varnish) on the paint before to mask...

Today I've airbrushed "Fokker turquoise" from Mister Kit Colors. Those paints, once again, are very nice but very fragile and difficult to use. I've diluted 50/50 with Tamiya thinner. Even so doing, there is sometimes little drops of water in the paint - A problem that I never know with paints like Tamiya, Gunze or Vallejo.
But to be honnest the colors of Mister Kit are splendid once applied.

When a drop of water comes on my paint, I continue the work on other locations and when dry I come back to the problem and I spray paint at very low pressure...

Second photo shows you the wheels with the masks removed.

Masking tape is placed. Then, I've sprayed "Oily Steel" on the front of the fuselage, followed by an application with a Q-tip of Brown Ink from Citadel Colors. The wheels are also masked and painted with LIght Rubber from Panzer Aces. And, finally, the Spandaus are painted in Boltgun Metal.
