How many kits of this plane you have build?

Three : one F7U-1 (Lindberg) and one F7U-3 (Hobbycraft) in 1/48 scale and one F7U-3 (Fujimi) in 1/72 scale. In my stock is one F7U-3P (Fujimi) in 1/72 scale.

Hello everybody,  :-salut :-salut :-salut

Hobbycraft issued many years ago a 1/48 scale kit of the F7U-3. This kit has many inaccuracies and has consumed many time to correct it... The worst model I ever built !

Look how high the cockpit stands above the ground...

Hi everybody,  :-salut :-salut :-salut

No. 1 has posted many photos of F7U Cutlass. Here is the Fujimi kit in 1/72 scale. I built it in March 1991 (!). The gray color (26440) is a mix by myself and as white on undersurfaces is hand-painted. Two other boxes are dedicated respectively to F7U-3M (Missiles) and F7U-3P (Recce-photo):

This is a ptoduction F7U-3 (second batch of 25 aircraft : 128451 through 128475)

Maybe 129580 or 129680, not 129880, last batch being 129523 to 129756 including 128745 to 129756 as F7U-3P.

Hi mate, hi everybody, :-salut :-salut :-salut

Great pictures !
There are some inaccuracies : plane 124419 is not an XF7U-1 but a production F7U-1 (BuNo 124415 through 124434).
The three prototypes were numbered 122472 to 122474.
The last photo of your last post shows an XF7U-3 (125410 and 125411)

Hi mate,

I've been also told, not by Risso but another member of N-N Régiment, that the red star was sometimes outlined in silver... What do you think about that ?

Thank you for your good comments.
I've been told by Joseph Risso (†) that his Yak-9T-37 was "silver 21", not white.

Hi, everybody,  :-salut :-salut :-salut

Here you see the ICM kit of the Yak-7T in the markings of René Challe's plane at the Normandie-Niémen regiment (GC 3 fot the French Air Force)
The kit has been easy to build and looks good. I built it out of the box, in August 2001.

Hi,

The original boxtop of the Lindberg's Me 262 (about 1957) When I saw this kit for the first time in shops I was very excited and I counted my pocket money to try to buy one kit... and finally got it at Xmas... In the 1950s kits were already expensive :

And these other ones :

Unfortunately not in good state, a box with the very early logo of Lindberg :

And the first kit that I ever built entirely bt myself in... 1956 !

Hi, everybody,

To see here is the oldest kit that I've built. It was propbably issued for the first time in... 1949 or, at least 1950 at the same time than the F-80A Shooting Star. That was a time when Lindberg were still known under their original trade mark : "O' Line" (becoming "Lindberg Lines" in 1952).
The kit is surprisingly in 1/48 scale in both length and span (a rarely seen fact at the time !). Many kits of the era had their span and length in different scales because of the dimensions of the boxes ! Lindberg, to signify their kits has a same scale in all dimensions added on their boxes "Constant scale kit".
The markings of the plane shown are those of the Reno races in 1949, this Cutlass belonging always to the NATC.

Hi, evebody,  :-salut :-salut :-salut

You see here a very old kit from Lindberg in 1/48 scale, issued in the second part of the 1950s...
The kit is largely inaccurate in many respects but it looks strangely real... Amazing. I had to correct the location of the horizontal tailplane (too low on the kit) and to build a totally new undercarriage because the original one was "working" with too small wheels and too much simplified covers. Many details have been added such as the navigation light at the lower end of the rudder or others to improve the nose wheel leg. The kit has been built in October 2004 and had to await for its codes until some days ago... The actual mat varnish has yellowed...
It represents the Me 262 S2, WNr 130007, VI+AG, "rote 2", which attained 1 000 km/h on 28 March 1944.

I do have a copy of the font style used by the Luftwaffe so there should be a way!

Here is the official font of Luftwaffe codes :
