Nice info mate and what is this?

Hello mate,

It's He 162 M20 (A-03 ?), WNr 220003 (Skz VI+IM but not painted on fuselage) built in the Wien "Languste Werk"/Heidfeld. First flight on 10.2.45. Tested centre of gravity. Armed with MG 151/20. Found at München-Riem by Allies.

Hello :-salut

Without the red arrow, you have also some prototypes with an Skz, such as He 162 M23, WNr 220006, VI+IP which was found intact at München-Riem and built in the "Languste-Werk". This prototype is apart by the fact that, at a moment in its life, it received a new wing root fairing.
There is also the very first He 162 A-1 with MK 108 guns, WNr 310001 first flown at Bernburg by Hermann Steckhahn on 15 February 1945.
One detail : the ailerons were RLM 82 on upper- and undersurfaces because they were interchageable. This is the case also for He 162 A-1, WNr 310027 from Junkers-Zweigwerk at Bernburg. Pay attention : the armament of this plane is composed of two MK 108, not MG 151/20 (long barrels) as on the A-2 represented by the Trimaster kit. On the A-1, the openings of the ejector chutes were larger to permit ejection of the 30 mm cases attached to their links.

Tamiya's He 162 is better than Trimaster's only by the fact that the Trimaster kit is a bit too long... Not visible when the kit is alone and not by side of the Tamiya one...

A scheme has been selected and painting should start this weekend.

Among the known He 162 As found in flyable condition, there were only three that didn't have the red arrow...

If it is good dimension and shape, it is good kit, all the rest could be upgraded ;)

Main details are present :

Hi No. 1 :-salut

I found a new photograph of a North-Korean Il-10 at Sinanju. That will be the markings of my kit...

From the book : Air War over Korea (Squadron Signal Publications, 1982)

Hello ! :-salut

Hera you are my latest build : an F-94B Starfire from Heller. The markings are of one of the Korean War, in December 1951.
This kit is pretty and is generally good and fit well enough. The markings are from, at the time, Microscale, now Scale Master (I think...). But it's not the best from them : US stars are to be replaced by bigger ones as the buzz-number and "USAF" markings on the wings... There is another mistake : the buzz-number was printed "FA-353" in place of FA-352, the s/n being 51-5352. I added too the seat belts.
I know no photographs of this planr names "Bull's Eye" flown by Captain William Turner. This a/c belonged to the 68th Fighter Interceptor Squadron, based à Itazuke in Japan, then at Suwon in Korea.

The surfaces are hand-painted with Humbrol Metalcote "Polished Aluminium" then itself polished with aluminium powder and varnished with "Klir" to avoid a too high glossy rendering.

Please note sample machine 39, it look like it have more colors in camouflage, very close or identical to the pattern attached.

Thank you very much. I didn't know 4th and 7th photos. 3rd photo depicts No. 55 and is on the wrong side : look at the opening glazed panel of the canopy which opens to the left side of the fuselage, and the pitot tube which must be on the starboard wing.

Excellent material, you will for sure have great items to do :-ok

Are there other photographs of North Korean Il-10s other than those of Nos "44" and "55" found at kimpo by American troops ?
