Hi mate,

Finally, this kit is only studied to be completed with the Brassin accessories... It's a good thing, jndeed, but I think it should be better to improve some external details.

Hi,

The dihedral of the wings has been corrected :

Something else to be improved : the angle of the u/c legs...
Eduard's :

Real angle :

There is also something inaccurate in the shape of the foot of propeller blades :

Standard shape :

To be continued...  :(

Hello,

I know these markings : they are of the Palombian Air Force of General Zantas... The leader of Palombia.
You model is very beautiful.

Hi,

Good work on an amazing plane. I've one to build and so, I follow your step by step work.

Yes, thanks for that information, Jicehem. The SAAB certainly looks the part of "little brother" and your research is great to have, as usual!

Hi Second Air Force,
I discoverd also drawings of the Me P. 1101 with legends entirely translated into French, I think of the time of Germany collapse, accompanying German files from Messerschmitt which where all given to Saab...
The German technology for the projected Me P. 1112 was applied on the Lockheed  P/F-80 Shooting Star early series in connexion with the exhaustion of the boundary air layer which consisted of a fan just in front of the jet engine.

F-86 Sabre was the son of Messesrschmit P1101...

Hello everybody,

When I wrote the extra issue of AƩro-Journal "Luft '46" I discovered that the direct "son" of the P-1101 is the... Saab J-29. Officially, F-86 was improved thanks to German studies on the swept wing, but I think this assertion is not totally true, because studies on the swept wing begun before the war. I think that it's the fact that german tested the swept wing which made the Americans applying the concept.
During my search for this extra issue, I discovered too, that the Ta 183 had been completed (I wonder) or the Russians had built a prototype based on the Ta 183 and flew it. I found no confirmation that the Germans begun the building of a prototype of the Ta 183 that, as known, was not the definitive project...
The MiG 15 has nothing to do with the Ta 183.

The diameter of the back plate of the spinner is 760 mm.

The round section of Eduard's is at least in 1/46 scale i.e. larger than on other 1/48 scale kits. I have this dimension elsewhere in my documentation.

Another photo comparing my old Airfix Bf 109 F-based Bf 109 G-6 (with right dihedral) to the new Eduard's... No more comments.

Hello everybody,

And now we go on with the first very important difficulty... The wings are missing dihedral. And not just a little.

The real dihedral :

Fuselage and wings before correction and assembly :

I don't understand this sort of inaccuracy...  :-think

Hello everybody,

I just started the building of the new, and the last one of all, kit of the Bf 109 G-6 by Eduard, in 1/48 scale.

I have to say that it is the 20th kit of the "109" that I'm building.
Technically, it's very good although a little complicated beacause of the multiple choice between several versions including Bf 109 K-4 to come... This method implies one inaccuracy... and not the least visible !
But the result in not as high as it can be expected.
1) The kit is in real 1/46,57 scale... If looked alone, that's absolutely of no importance but if seen by the side of a real 1/48 kit the difference is visible.
2) The building :
a) Painting of RLM 66 as interior color and blue fot breathing apparatus.

b) the instrument panel is the plastic part with decal. The PE parts are, for me, really unprofitable.

c) The complete cockpit :

d) The plastic part of the left exhaust pipes is better than the one completed with PE part which represents the exhaust shield. This PE part is not complete... :

e) The base of the engine compressor air intake is inaccurate :

The actual shape :

To be continued.
