I believe the former US president George W. Bush was an F-102 pilot at the National Guard.
He was notorious for not showing up for his scheduled F-102 flights. He really must have been very stupid!!!

Cessna 172 (PH-RIE)was the plane of my para course in the summer of 1971 at Texel airfield!
Picture shows 'yours truly' boarding for his very first jump!
Those were interesting times///////
PH-RIE crashed following year when it hit a winch launch cable of the local gliding club.

For fuselage vacform part I advise to strengthen it with internal bulkheads.
Just one will give an enormous improvement of stiffness.
As glue you can try regular polystyrene plastic cement, especially for wing and horizontal tail parts. For fuselage halves I would advice polyacryl glue. It gives a good bond and excess can be easily sanded away.

This one was tested with 4x20 mm Hispano cannons in line-abreasst position!

Whirlwind was indeed fighter that just didn't have luck! Although it was faster than the Hurricane and almost as fast as the Spitfire it had a number of teething problems which delayed the availablility for operational use. Because of this it completely missed the Battle of Britain. However it was succesfully used after this period! Again it was not lucky: development of its Rolls Royce Peregrine engine was stopped and that also meant the end for the Whirlwind. Only 114 were manufactured and it was cancelled in favour of the single-engine Hawker Typhoon. This definitely was not a very wise decision as history has learned us. The Typhoon had its own share of teething problems and more and more developed Whirlwinds would have been very welcome. Unfortunately this was not the case.............
You can read the complete story in the January issue of Military Aircraft Monthly!!

Is this a re-issue of the old Czech ZSE OEZ Su-25K kit? The parts I see are 100% identical with this kit. I still have it unbuild and I must have purchased it some 15-20 years ago. It has decals for a Czech and a Russian version!

My advice for vacform underground: take an old bathroom mirror.
It will give you a surface that is absolutely flat!!

Yes, it seems both underwing and upperwing positions of Argus pulsjets were tested!

Very interesting Me-project! It was test flown both as glider and as version powered with two Argus pulsjets fitted under the wings (same as used on Fieseler F-103 or V-1!).
Pulsjets caused such severe airframe vibrations that pilot had to jettison both on at least one test flight!!
Plans to use it as a 'Selbtsopfer' plane as a German Kamikaze never materialized//

Interesting to know that one sample of this quite unknown plane, captured by US forces, still exists today!
