Nice set of images. The area of the UK in which I live now was covered in RAF and USAAF airfields during WW2.

I lost my orientation... is this one the next?
Sorry to say this one is not a reconnaissance Spitfire, I think what it is, is at a hight altitude Mk.VII fighter, see pictures attached.

I think the next one is the PR.XI, this was the one that was produced in the greater numbers and was also used by the USAAF.
I will have a look through my files once I get home (I'm stuck at this time in the north of England helping to clear Caroles mums house)

PRU Mustang, not much info about the unit...

No. 16 Squadron was an Army Co-operation unit. Which moved to France in April 1940. After only nine days of fighting, the unit was withdrawn to Britain.

For the next three years the squadron operated as a tactical reconnaissance squadron, first around the UK coast line, look for the possible German attacks. In June 1943, the squadron was equipped with Mustang I's.

In September 1944 the squadron became part of the Second Tactical Air Force (2 TAF) and moved to Belgium and completed its service at Eindhoven, in Holland.

Aircraft  used by the Squadron during WW2
June 1938-April 1939: Westland Lysander I
April 1939-October 1940: Westland Lysander II
March 1940-September 1940: Gloster Gladiator II
October 1940-May 1943: Westland Lysander III, IIIA
April 1942-November 1943: Mustang I
February 1943-April 1943: Tomahawk I
September 1943-September 1944: Spitfire PR.XI (Pink)
June 1944-November 1944: Spitfire FR.IX (Pink)
March 1945-September 1945: Spitfire PR.XIX

An excellent profile No.1  :-ok
