I fully agree on this approach and I think it is a very good idea to review kits that have been gathering dust for many years and that now will be eventually built. I hope it will indeed result in review of really rare kits out of production for many years!

Strange looking machine, but it even could transport a light tank!
General Aircraft developed it further into a motorized version powered by two Bristol Mercury engines.

There must be a B-47E released in the past by Hasegawa at 1/72 scale.
I can still remember from my childhood (the fifties!) that Revell had one at 1/144 scale, but that was quite primitive and even without an undercarriage. It had to be fitted 'in flying position' on the well known transparant plastic stand in the form of a half world globe.

Only foreign operator of B-47 was Canada. The US supplied one for engine testing for the Avro Arrow programme.

I would say just correct it and apply 'White 13'! You have a good example how it must look from the Messerschmitt AG photo release!!

Hasegawa offered in 1989 Zero kit with decals for aircraft captured by U.S. and British forces.
I still have it here in the original box. Think it is a real collector's item now!!

Purchased today that nice 1/72 MACH 2 kit of the B-45! Noted that it is indeed 'limited production': sink marks, ejection marks and flash; they are all present. Although the box cover states that B-45 A/C/RB versions can be made, and although radar nose of RB version is also present, kit offers only one version B-45C with very basic decals for one plane only (no. 48-080). Locating pins are absent and instruction for use is a bare minumum A4! Clear parts are quite thick and in fact not 100% clear at all!!
In spite of this, it IS a kit of a B-45 so I should not complain! Interior is for a limited production run surprisingly complete. After-sales wanted are: an extensive decal sheet with all stenceling , clear vacform parts and a set of various resin parts including bomb-bay details.
Kit was second last available at Aviation Megastore at Aalsmeerderbrug near Schiphol airport, so there is only one left!!

'Weisse Dreizehn' was after the war officially released as a company photo by Messerschmitt A.G. Also original of this photo bears the M.B.B. stamp on the reverse side! It must be said that also other photos are known; one with a complete formation in flight and another one with White 13 parked on the ground. I guess that the last one was the original photo and that the other shots are the results of very early Photoshopping. Even without a computer very realistic results have been obtained! So, in a way we could say this photo is indeed too beautiful to be true......
