Here is a nice image of the Bristol Centaurus-powered Tempest. II It was too late to participate in the Second World War, but the Napier Sabre powered Tempest V and VI were actively used during the last stage; in particular for destroying V-1's.
Hawker Tornado-Typhoon-Tempest-Fury/Seafury story will be in next issue of Letletlet magazine!!

Internet has changed this all! And nowadays nothing is really free of charge anymore. Even at Boeing you'll have to pay copyrights for publishing historical material.
Also new company brochures are copyright protected, You can't use their published 3-view drawings without authorisation.

Photo's are original company releases from Aero photo book.
Don't ask me how I obtained it; I just friendly rquested by letter!
At that time (early sixties) it still was very common to write aircraft manufacturers for PR material and most of the time you received thick envelopes with very nice photographs and brochures. It was the beginning of my current aviation photo archive!!
Unfortunately that is all over now!

Aircraft Modeling / Re: Bf-109 Group Build-All Variants

Interesting! The Me-109T was the navalised version of the Me-109 with arrester hook and foldable wings for use on the aircraft carrier Graf Zeppelin. The carrier never was operational, but the M-109T's were operationally used minus carrier equipment on one of the islands near the northern coast of Germany. Main advantage was that it had a larger wingspan than standard Me-109 and, consequently, could operate from shorter strips!

We were only selling books, posters, paintings and Aviodrome DVD's; no kits. What you see was from our neighbours.

Yesterday (Saturday 22 October 2011) the big annual EMS event from IPMS the Netherlands was held again.
As usual it was well visited without any empty space left and many model kits changed owner that day.
For a short impression, see

The attached image shows the combined Aviodrome 2nd-hand bookshop/Letletlet table.

Why bother on 'Me-509'?? It was never built, not even as a mock-up and the project was already cancelled at a very early stage when detailed design drawings were not even made.
With most of the Messerschmitt archives destroyed during Allied air raids a lot of detail on that 'Me-509' kit is just speculation. The earlier Me-309 did at least fly as a prototype and I personally would welcome a nice 1:48 kit from the same manufacturer of this type instead of that would-be project!!

I can still remember the Redbull P-38 'purring' by at Lelystad Airport this summer during a display day. It is a very particular sound those both Allison's are maeking than is quite different from that loud noise of a Merlin! Also at Duxford some months ago difference in sound between Allison and Merlin P-40 was very remarkable!!
