Aircraft Modeling / Messerschmitt Bf 109 K-4 (Erla), Revell, 1/48

Hello :-salut

Here is the very last version of the Bf 109 K-4 : Bf 109 K-4/R6 (R6 = Rüstzustand 6 or PKS 12 an all-weather flight device) built by Erla-Leipzig.
As this version doesn't exist in model kit, I had to modify one... And the base is the very old Bf 109 G10 (WNF series) made by Revell in... 1978 !
This kit is not perfect but fuselage and engine cowlings have accurate length and that are the most important features for a kit.

The asymetrical engine-cowlings:

The spiral of the K-4 has been hand-painted (White on black !)

Aircraft Modeling / Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-10 (WNF), Heller, 1/72

Hello :-salut

My first Bf 109 G-10 (from WNF) in 1/72 scale. I obtained it by modifying Heller's Bf 109 K-4. Built in January 1981.
It represents a plane of II./JG 52. This Gruppe landed almost complete at Bad Aibling on May 8th, 1945.

Hello :-salut

Here is a very good kit from Heller. Apart from minor improvements, this Bf 109 E-7, in spite of its age, stays always one of the best "E" series Bf 109.
I built it in 1978...

Note- in early days Bf 109 had top coat of Italian yellow sand and bottom in RLM 65. Top color look good ;)
Hello :-salut
On fighters, RLM 65 was fully replaced by RLM 76 since the end of 1940.

Hello  :-salut

Here is the ESCI (now Italeri) kit of the Mirage F1C series 200 with in flight-refuelling capability. The kit is good enougn but must be lengthened by 4 mm to be as accurate as possible...

And Jicehem in 1981...

Aircraft Modeling / Dassault Mirage IIIC (Airfix, 1/72, 1964)
« on: October 04, 2015, 06:41:53 PM »
Hello  :-salut

An Airfix kit always recently present in their catalog... abd issued in 1964. The kit was very basic and has to be seriously improved, a task taking many time...
The markings are from the last edition. Metal finish is rendered by Humbrol Metalcote "Polished Aluminium" buffed with aluminium powder.

Hello  :-salut

Those two kits in 1/32 scale of the Citroën 11 "Convertible" and "False convertible". They are simple but complete and are good representations of the original models. Issued in 1981-1982.
Hand-painted with Humbrol paints.

The "false convertible" :

The convertible :

The belly is well reproduced:
