And it's officially done. The strings are from women stockings. The base is quartz sand and static grass.

For conclusion, Eduards Albatros is a great kit, with a little trouble you can build a superb model, with Gaspach accessories even better.....

Thank you all

The slow and painful weathering process started, I work with oil paints so the drying period between phases are a bit longer, but hey, can't have it all.....

For first step I usually use a lots of different colors to get a little " life " in the colors, I'm applying them in dots and then '' work them in to surface '' with brush and thinner. I use lots of colors, white, yellow, blue, green, etc and around the engine I'm adding burn umber to get a dirty grease oily look.

In the meantime the work on the tracks began, once again the pin marks are on '' perfect '' places......

My wife always asks me how I'm progressing with the model I make, or what did I manage to do for that day, and I always show her or tell her. Once she asked me - is there a model on this world which you can make out of the box like normal people ? I sad to her - maybe one, but I haven't got it yet.....

So, the tow cable, all the experienced Tiger and King Tiger crews put they tow cables in '' ready '' position so they wont waste time and expose them to enemy fire for a long time if towing is needed and this is what I wish to make on my model. Tow cable from the box :

http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv347/modellius_senta/recenzija%20king%20tiger/Untitled1_zpswlfbjufy.jpg

I made the tow cable in 3 x 3 wire layout. First I take three wires and spin them in one, and then the three spined wires I spin in one

http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv347/modellius_senta/recenzija%20king%20tiger/Untitled4_zps1krirsq7.jpg

At first I wished to use some original parts but on the end, as usualy I ended up with all scratch tow cable....

And the brown. Once again same method as the previous two colors with a little " twist ", the brown was a bit tricky to mix and after a lot's of attempts I find the right colors to mix, maybe a bit darker than it should be, but it stays like this now. the colors I used was Revell 70, Revell 38, Revell 88, Revell 80 and Revell 310

The green. The method of mixing and painting is same as the yellow, used colors are Revell 360, Revell 312 and white

And the paint job started. First I applied the yellow which is a mixture of Revell 88 ,Revell 312 and white, don't know the percentage of them because I mixed them approximately, always adding one of them until I'm satisfied..... First I paint a layer of base, then with adding black into the base I made the shadows and the a cote of base again

First stage was to spray a layer of Gunze Mr Metal Primer to make a better surface for all the next stages of painting. After drying I put a layer of Gunze Mr Surfacer as a primer. And finally the paint work started. First color is a german base color, Oxide red which I put on all non-zimmerit surfaces and these areas will stay unpainted in camo, they will be in Oxide red. The reason for this is that in the last stage of war King tigers went out from factory in this color and the camo was painted in the units ( this is why you can see a million different camos on these big cats ), and I wish to make a worn out well used vehicle from the end of the war so all the missing parts reveals the original factory paint.
