And again a great set from Eduard Brassin, an Spitfire mk IX exhaust. At first sight this update is great and will give a fine " touch " on any Spitfire, the fine detailed mold gives a lot's of opportunity for nice painting/weathering, all you need is some skills and lots of time to get it right.

First I give it a coat of Valleyo chrome, to get the natural metal look :
A Revell clear blue cote followed to get the look of heated metal, I done it hardly visible at first sight, but it will give a right result when it's all done.....

Well as far as the Tiger is considered I'm calling it finished, the figures and the scenery to follow. For conclusion a few words about this model, it is a fine made model, it need an extra work, the biggest problems are many pin marks, mostly on very bad and hard to repair places. The biggest problem of this model are the tracks, first of all Eduard provides the narrow type of tracks, the wider would look better, the pin marks are visible on every track link, to fix it and to put the track on place need a lot of time. But, this is a great model to build if you're not afraid of an extra work, and I strongly recommend Eduard's photo etched sets for this model, it gives a much much better look than straight from the box build, but to be honest I do not recommend this kit to beginners.

The tracks are done. This is how Eduard suggest to glue the tracks.
Well, we all know how that ended, so on the right side I got it on my own and work out perfectly. A tip for anybody how attend to build this model, glue H6+H2+H4 for one piece and H4+H2+H5+H2+H4 for the other and you will get two equal long track links. Start on the upper side and go down on the front with separate track links, glue the long track and finish on the idler wheel. This is what you will get :
