Department Of Defense And Denmark Sign Joint Strike Fighter Agreement

DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE and DENMARK sign joint strike fighter agreement
Denmark has signed the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) production, sustainment, and follow-on development (PSFD) memorandum of understanding (MOU) that will govern the cooperative program arrangements for the next phase of the Joint Strike Fighter program. The signing ceremony took place in Copenhagen, Denmark, Feb 27.

In a ceremony at the U.S. Embassy in Copenhagen, Danish Minister of Defence Soren Gade added his signature to the agreement already signed by the United States, The Netherlands, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Norway, and Italy. The United States was represented by U.S. Ambassador James Cain.

This MOU provides a framework for future Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program efforts in production and beyond, and extends cooperation beyond the current system development and demonstration agreement between the United States and the other eight JSF partner nations.Denmark's signing today marks the completion of three years of intensive multilateral negotiations, followed by national reviews and approvals by each partner nation, culminating in a PSFD MOU signed by all nine Joint Strike Fighter partners.

The Joint Strike Fighter is the largest DoD acquisition program to date. The F-35 Lightning II is a supersonic, multi-role, stealth fighter designed to replace a wide range of existing aircraft.Three versions of the aircraft will be built: a conventional-takeoff-and-landing variant, an aircraft-carrier version, and a short-takeoff-and-vertical-landing version.

In addition to preparing for future production and sustainment activities, F-35 Lightning II development efforts are ongoing. The first JSF system development and demonstration test aircraft has already successfully flown several test flights.

This topside blue was very rare in use and I know for one sample of Hayabusa but there is possibilities that Ki-100 featured this camouflage.

I get mail from a friend from Germany:

Mostly I would need pictures of the SM 75 Marsupiale. Because there is one thing what I can´t find out. It´s the dorsal turret. On profiles there are vissible two guns rised from the cupola but I don´t know if the turret itself was turntable. The SM 82 Canguro used the same turret and even the SM 81 Pipistrello sometimes was equiped with such a turret. So if there was a close up- picture of that turret this would be very usefull for me.

So thats all for now, bye

So if any could help...  ;)

DoD and NASA Partner on National Strategy for Aeronautical Testing

The Department of Defense and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration recently signed an agreement focusing efforts to develop an integrated national strategy for managing their respective aeronautical test facilities. The memorandum of agreement (MOU), entitled the National Partnership for Aeronautical Testing (NPAT), was signed in late July by Kenneth J. Krieg, under secretary of defense for acquisition, technology and logistics and Michael D. Griffin, NASA Administrator.

This agreement expands the dialogue beyond the agencies' test and evaluation communities to include interests of agency's science and technology communities, as well as industry and academia.Aeronautical test facilities are facilities used for testing of vehicles (e.g., aircraft, missiles, or space vehicles) or for related scientific and engineering studies. They include wind tunnels, propulsion test facilities, simulation facilities, and open-air ranges.

Also established is the NPAT council as the governing body consisting or co-chairs John B. Foulkes, director, Test Resource Management Center and Lisa J. Porter, associate Administrator for Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate, and other key senior representatives from both agencies. The council will work to develop projects that streamline and economize the management of aeronautical test facilities. The council will share information about the technical capabilities and availability of their respective test facilities with the resulting interaction promoting economic and efficient management of the nation's federal aeronautical test facilities.

The partnership is in response to the National Aeronautics Research and Development Policy signed by President Bush in December 2006.Information on the policy can be found at:

Wide used method for making selections of large areas  is to select part of the background that contains most of

the colors that appear within that background or the layer where you are active. Then you can go under the Select

menu and choose Similar as seen on the image. Photoshop will then select all the similar colors in your image. Very

cool and fast. Do you know how many pixels out the Similar command selects? Note number in the eliptical

markings of the attached image. The higher the setting, the more pixels it selects. When you use Similar, and it

doesn't select enough colors, take again Magic Wand tool, shortcut is W, increase the Tolerance setting, and then

try running Similar again.

If you've made a selection and want to add to that selection, just hold the Shift key and you can add more area to

it. Of course, we just told you it was the Shift key, but what if you couldn't remember which key it was? Just press

a modifier key such as Shift, Alt, Ctrl and then look at your cursor. When you hold the Shift key, a little plus sign

appears at the bottom right-hand corner of the cursor to tell you that you can add to the selection. Hold Alt and a

minus sign appears to tell you that you can subtract from the selection. Hold Ctrl and a pair of scissors appears,

telling you that if you click-and-drag the selection, it will cut out the image inside of the selection and move it right

along with the cursor.
