An old report, but this is the first time I have seen any images from it.

"A U.S. military search team discovers a Cold War-era MiG-25R Foxbat B, the fastest combat aircraft today, buried beneath the sands in Iraq. Several MiG-25s and Su-25 ground attack jets have been found buried at al-Taqqadum air field west of Baghdad."

Here's another version of the Canberra, not really an export  :))

XH132 was modified PR9 Canberra. However, she never flow in that role.

In the 1960's she was transferred to Short Brothers factory in Ireland and was modified as a specialised "Shorts SC.9" with the capability of carrying several different types of nose-mounted equipment for missile homing head trails.

Then on to De-Havilland Propellers where it spent a number of years as part of the Red Top guided missile trails programme.

She was then transferred to Hawker Siddeley Dynamics for a continuation of the trails before going on to the Radar Research Establishment (RRE) in 1972 for Sky Flash guided weapon homing-head development in 1972.

The nose section still exists today in Italy.

Your profile is of a Canberra B(I) Mk8, which could be used as a long range night interdictor, high level bomber or target marker.
The Argentina Air Force (AAF) order a number of refurbished ex-RAF B Mk2 Canberras, they were renamed B. Mk62's and the fist one was handed over on the 16th November 1970.

During the 1982 Falklands war the AAF lost two Canberra during attacks on agisnst the UK forces, one on the 1th May and the other 13st June.

The Canberra was withdrawn from AAF service in 2000.
