Tidal Wave bombers was main target of this fighter in one period and at end of war they was used against Germans. Nice to hear that you have talk with crew of B-24 who have flew those dramatic missions

We could not imagine our modeling without super glue and sadly, inventor of this material is gone forever  He died at age of 94...

Harry Wesley Coover Jr., known as the inventor of Super Glue, has died. He was 94. Cooper was working for Tennessee Eastman Co., a division of Eastman Kodak, when an accident helped lead to the popular adhesive being discovered, according to his grandson, Adam Paul, of South Carolina. Cyanoacrylate, the chemical name for the glue, was first uncovered in 1942 in a search for materials to make clear plastic gun sights for World War II. But the compound stuck to everything, which is why it was rejected by researchers. Coover died Saturday at his home in Kingsport, Tenn., his grandson said.

This is one of the greatest fighter development from my point of view. Romanian experts get very smart decision to make conversion from the hight wing, fixed gear PZL.24 and convert it into the sleek designed fighter plane. They develop it into the I.A.R.80 which adopted whole production tooling and equipment. It use the same radial engine as PZL fighter which is licensed and manufactured in Romania and in regard to its small power (compared with other constructions), this fighter give great performance and managed to get in fight with far better fighters. Its great improvement is the frame less cockpit canopy, maybe very first in the world used on the series production fighter aircraft.

So lets go with profile of this machine
