Surface have to be absolute gloss and decals to be as much as possible in water and then if possible to slide them directly on place and with not much movement

As well I have mostly black and white images it is hard to give any opinion of the color. Even color image of the burning machine does not show much as well it is burned. I did not search Internet... few others images show engine details as well one of the optional machine to be built, flown by ace

I'll also look into the gun bay color. If memory serves, earlier Hellcats had the yellow tinted primer and later production used green, but I'm not certain enough to say for sure.
This is it, later was green but need check out, images will come soon

In general this is yellow interior protective color but will take a look on all images I have and try to see it. I am very glad you like it
