Bit lazy in a few past weeks, but now I make a little progress. The port side wheel bay completed/detailed ( at least I think so. have to check the photos once again just to be sure ), now moving on the starboard side

The main training aircraft of the aero clubs in those years was the Yak-18, which replaced the UT-2. In the first photo, the future cosmonaut is just standing on his wing. Has Gagarin's first plane survived? Yes. On May 21, 1961, just a month after the flight of the first man into space, the Saratov Aero Club donated to the local history Museum the very Yak-18 that Yuri Gagarin flew.

WOW ! I didn't want to buy Trumpeter 1/48 scale kit, I like the plane but no exotic painting. This changed my mind, now it's a most have ! thank you mate ! Chance for other views ? I mean upper surface ?
