I was wondering if anyone might have some technical data, specs, or better yet drawings of these EDO Floates. type 43-14060 that were fitted to the Ford Tri-Motor.
Thank you,
Ernie

Excellent work guys :-ok I am amazed to see how well the Eduard set fits the old Monogram kit, it does make a huge difference in the appearance of the kit already!

Thank you guys, I appreciate your comments :-flo This is really a simple little kit and goes together very well. I did this paint scheme as I have a Zero trainer to that will also be painted the same way, and used this as a test to see how it would look.

Meng Models 1/72 Kayaba kit finished in the late war trainer scheme of orange with the upper surfaces overpainted with green. I used Tamyia paint for the finish.

Aircraft Modeling / Yak-14 North Pole Gliders
« on: April 22, 2012, 03:39:50 PM »
I was wondering if anyone had any information on the three Yak-14's that went to the North pole in about 1954? At least one of these flew over the pole becoming the first (and possibly only ??) glider to do so. I am in need of paint scheme information such as were they painted in high Visibility colors similar to other Soviet Polar aircraft, did they carry Bort numbers??? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like a very nice kit! :-ok Is the molding done by High Planes? If so it is very impressive as I have a couple of High Planes kits from several years back and must say that tis is a vast improvement.

Ernie,

The sprues were produced in China or in Eastern Europe, for High Planes and PJ. Big improvement indeed...

Okay, that explains the difference in the sprues. Very nice moldings, even though the High Planes kits were not too bad for low pressure injection molded kits, and I do enjoy them.
