This is correct- instead of that it have one band of Plexiglas glued there and this section is painted in camouflage color.

Not always painted in the camo colours as the photos that I added on my previous post.

Hi N°1,

Very good job for a very nice shark-shaped airplane.

A detail : the Hunter's canopy had no frame on the rear... as on the Mystère IVA. The stiffener was part of the canopy and moulded with it in one part.
You can see that on the accompanying pictures :

Hi all,

The following pictures are not originally mine because I had not the chance to be in the KC-135 (US Air Force) but they were given to me by a very good American friend :

Aircraft Modeling / Lunar Module

Hi,

Here is the kit releast in 1979 by Monogram in 1/48 scale for the 10th anniversary of the first moon landing on 21 July 1969.

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j215/jicehem/LEM_2_.jpg

To see is the shdow painted black on an engraved aera on the base... I found this idea (from Monogram) very good !

Another photo with the rendering (at least I tried to render it) of the daylight on the Moon.

Aircraft Modeling / Aérospatiale SA 365 Dauphin
« on: October 28, 2008, 05:56:48 PM »
Hi mates,

The only one "Dauphin" used by the Armée de l'air at 1/60 GLAM.
The kit is the Matchbox one that I built in 1993 but the white paint had become yellowish and the decals had become reddish...
After I found a new decal sheet, I decided to restaure the kit and by the occasion I added five seats and... curtains (thanks to the fact I cement the windows with clear varnish).
I've improved the main landing gear covers and added too the three ventral antennaes...
Things I didn't add 15 years ago...

Hi all,

Surimposing the side views of a Ju 87 B on a side view of a Ju 87 D permits to see that the two planes have almost the same length...

The picture of the Ju 87 B is red, the Ju 87 D's one is blue.

Can you give me a closeup scan of one of the unit emblems? i could not find it with the serial registrations. The Fiats must have belonged to some of the Aufklärungsgeschwader.

Hi Wingman81,

I've searched in my notes and the FIATS didn't belonged to one Aufklärungsgeschwader, but belonged to LeKG 41. The year is 1968-1969.
The code is not listed in most histories of the Bundesluftwaffe, but I know of another G 91R-3 (31+75) of LeKG 41.

Here a link for other planes of LeKG 41 :

Hi Wingman,

Here is the close up. It's what I can do the best...

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j215/jicehem/InsigneFIATG91R_-1.jpg

And another picture with the same Mirage III R and another FIAT G 91R. As you can see the FIATs sport the insigna of French ER 1/33 "Belfort".

Hi,

Yes, all with French markings.
There are Mirage III Cs, Mirage F1s and even in the far background, two Mystère IVs.

Cheers,
