Octavia

Well, having finished the figure for my CorsEarth and as I want to give another try to the Abteilung 502 Oil Flesh set, I will begin a new one: a Roman woman at bath.
I've decided to name her Octavia. Why? She was the sister of the first Roman Emperor Augustus and more than that, I've seen the Rome serie on TV and found so cute the actress interpretating Octavia...  :-love

First stage is preparation. Figure was sanded and the original base (very poor) was replaced by a home made one: Evergreen and Miliput.
Figure is placed on a work base (the cap of an aftershave bottle...)

After having tried to fill the little gaps with cyano (not a good result; when sanding all the cyano came out of the figure) I've used the tip given by a friend of mine: to enlarge the little gaps and then to fill them with miliput...

you can work with cyano but first you have to sand it a bit to scratch the surface

Yes, indeed.
I'm still trying to obtain a good surface, using miliput and/or cyano. Not happy for the time being...

Back on Octavia...

I needed the help of a friend specialized in figure painting, to try to obtain a good surface on the figure. The metal of the figure was full of little gaps... And some are already there! But oK, that's enough... Next step!

Base coat of acrylic flesh paint (Tamiya XF-15)
