A freind of mine offered me that bust some years ago. I used it for testing some techniques I have found on Youtube. My goal is to find a good technique to paint flesh with acrylics.
So, here is the figure, that received a black primer - First time I prime in black...
-
I have also tested a new product: AK Truemetal "Iron" for the helmet. Excellent, really.
Another test: the "wet palette". That permits to keep the painting humid; so you can mix and use paints in a long time. More diluted than a "dry palette", so more applications needed.

The dfirst photo shows all the paints needed to paint flesh (the face). Some photos of the process here. Base color is Vallejo Sand Brown + a drop of black + a drop of green.
Eyes are painted as follows:
1) Black
2) White, letting a black outline
3) the iris
4) White dot for reflexion of the light

I have also used a wash from Citadel Colors.
Here the figure is finished, without the base...
-
...And completely finished now.
For that first test, I'm quite happy. I will have to adjust some mixes for the next figure I will paint, but well, once again it's the first test and I'm not figurinist... :))
